Next Cause Of Action: Supply, Financing, and Time Management

Supply
With all major stages of the simulation completed, I can say that I had given a face to this supply project for Phone-R-Us. the next item on my agenda was to sort out the supply. Going through the available courier services in the UK, that of DHL captured my interest. using their platform I was able to see that they can do a next-day delivery service of up to 25 kg per parcel at £22.89.

To know the exact kg I would have for 30,000 prints, I resorted to Cura again, this time slicing only one phone case in the Ultimaker s5 resulted to 28g, converting to kilograms gave me 0.028kg. to get the mass for 30,000 prints I needed to multiply 0.028kg by 30,000 resulting to 840kg.
To then get the number of parcels 25kg DHL parcels that will amount to 840kg, I divided the total mass of 30,000 prints, 840kg by 25 which resulted in 33.6 parcels, for budgeting sake I rounded it up to 34 parcels weighed at 25kg.

Financing
With a £100,000 budget from Phone-R-Us to produce and supply the bottom phone casing for production within 256 working days in a year, I had to make some expenses to account for the labour at Printcity, the cost of material, supply from print city to Phone-R-Us production facility and miscellaneous expenses to account for unforeseen circumstances.
For labour cost, I simulated the printing process in the mass printing post giving me a result of 5112 working hours to be able to print 30,000 prints. I decided to top up the current UK minimum wage set at £9.50 by £0.50 making it £10. In this regard, I could sum the wage for 5112 hours to be £51,120.
Next was the cost of materials, the result of one print weighing 0.028 kg was £0.87 when I found the cost of 30,000 prints weighing 840kg I got £26,100.
And also the cost of supply, from the supply analysis I ran above using 34 parcels weighing 25 kg each and priced at £22.89 per parcel the total result was summed up to £778.28.
For the miscellaneous, I summed up the three costs i.e the labor cost, the cost of material, and the cost of supply which equated to £77,998.28, and rounded it up to £85,000. the difference, £7,001.72.
My gain for this project amounted to £15,000 when considering miscellaneous activities

Time Management
With finances sorted out next indeed to create a Gantt chart to enable me to track activities and be on top of the process. There is a lot of Gantt chart-making software online but I prefer using that of Smartsheet because it is quite easy to use and is free to use as well.
To set up the Gantt chart I needed to utilize the number of days that I had used and would also be used up in the project. from the Project Info stage to the Production of Phone-R-Us.
With all these activities completed, I will have about 24 days to spare, some time to take myself on a holiday cruise and I am certain that Phone-R-Us would definitely enjoy my services and look forward to doing more business with me in the future.
